Micro-Contact Printing Platform, µ-CP 2.1
µ-CP2.1 is a compact research platform to perform µ-contact printing experiments. The device consists of 4 inking positions, 4 drying positions, a stamp slider with 4 positions to clamp 1 to 4 PDMS-stamps, the stamping unit and the sample holder.

The PDMS-stamp carries a 10mm by 10mm pattern area in the standard case. To increase the pattern area of the stamp, there is a possible option for further accessories. The sample holder is moveable in the x-y-angle direction and in relation to the fix stamp. It can also be more equipped with a heater-cooler-chuck working in the temperature range of 20°C to 125°C. Together with this heater cooler option, NIL-procedures can be performed too.

The sample holder is partly transparent and allows position, inspection and alignment of PDMS-stamp and substrate via video microscopy. In the standard case µ-CP2.1 is equipped with one video microscope. This microscope is clamped below the base plate and fixed in a manually moveable slider. The slider contains two clamp positions, one for the first video microscope and the second for an additional video microscope or one UV-light source. Both video microscopes, 1x 150 times magnification and 1x 400-times magnification are possible.

The casting station of µ-CP2.1 contains 10 pieces of the polycarbonate-stamp body, 1l PDMS Sylgard 184, PDMS casting accessories and the technology description to fabricate stamps with PDMS-membranes (GeSiM-Patent).
