Pressure compensation vessel

The first step is to assure that the pressure compensation vessel is working properly. This is to assure that the liquid level is stable in the pipette tips. So the idea is that the syringe pump module draws the fluid from this vessel when perfusing the pipettes. The liquid level is monitored using an electrocaloric heater that involves the probe being heated and there is a sensor that measures the temperature when the probe is out of the fluid it gets hotter that triggers the corresponding pressure compensation peristaltic pump to fill up the bottle until the temperature goes back down below the setpoint temperature.

The PCV bottle with closed lid shows the gauged wire support the other end of which is attached to the heatable probe, this can be moved up and down to improve the liquid level accuracy

The pressure compensation vessel settings are done in the Interactive Mode interface. Details about the controls are shown.
